The rain won’t stop

a song I wrote after being diagnosed with Bi-Polar Type II. Hang in their friends.

The rain won’t stop

The river keeps rising
Soon all I know
Will be washed away
Gonna let it all go
Come, flood my mind
If you’re going to take it from here
Please take it so kind

I can’t go back to
where I’ve never been
I’m just learning how to walk
And looking for a friend
I don’t blame You
Missin the mark is just a sin

But there’s a world I know
Where the river runs cool and slow
I could cast all our sorrows there
And all the crimes we’ve shared

I’ve made up my mind
But I’ll change it later today
To some other story
To fit some other way
I and I, is what the poets claim
To take them deeper
I’m gonna change my name

But I can’t go back to
Where I’ve never been
I’m just learning how to talk
And looking for a friend
I don’t blame you
I know where we been

But there’s a world I know
Where the river runs deep and slow
I could drown all our sorrows there
And all the crimes we shared
